‘Robin Hood: Origins’ is due to be released in the UK next September, with Kingsman star Taron Egerton starring in the title role. It’s perfect timing for next summer’s Hoodwinked 2018 sculpture trail in Nottingham – a twist on the tale of Robin Hood.
The Hoodwinked Robin popped in to the Old Market Square to help at the launch of a new campaign to drum up interest in the film and to ensure that Nottingham benefits. It’s called the Robin Hood Campaign Initiative, organised by Art Culture Tourism International .
Filming for ‘Robin Hood: Origins’ has been carried out at various locations in Dubrovnik, Croatia; Le Raincy, France, and Budapest, Hungary.
Closer to home, the Hoodwinked trail also celebrates our local hero Robin Hood, master of disguise. The trail will run through the streets of Nottingham from July to September 2018. About 30 sculptures will be on display – transforming our merry man in green into unique robins wearing coats of many colours.
