Find & Collect

Select Open Trail on the home screen to use the map; pinch and swipe the map to zoom in and out. Location settings need to be turned ON to see your location on the map. Or go to the Trail tab to access the sculpture listings and search for the sculpture name, artist or location.

Quick Unlock

Simply enter the 4 digit code found on the sculpture’s plaque to unlock your discovery. There are two ways to enter the code: on the sculpture page or by clicking the unlock icon on the Total tab at the top. Plus you can give your favourite sculpture a vote or share!

Unlock Rewards

When you find and collect sculptures you can unlock lots of exciting rewards along the way! There are also trophies available when you complete certain milestones.

Your Stats & Trail Stats

Track your progress around the trail. See how many sculptures you’ve collected, how many rewards and trophies you’ve unlocked and what percentage of the trail you’ve covered. Plus you can see the most voted and most visited sculptures across the entire trail.

The Gallery

You can upload a photo to the app Gallery by clicking ‘upload’. You will be asked to either Take a photo or Choose from library. Images uploaded will be vetted by the Hoodwinked team prior to being published on the app. Your photo will be seen by other app players and can be shared on social media. So get creative!

App FAQ’s

I’m having problems signing in.

Try turning your phone off and on again – this has worked for other app players. Close down the app completely and re-open it. Fill in your name, email, postcode, age and group size details. You should get through to the Contact Preferences screen. Make sure you read and agree to the Ts & Cs to continue. If you’re still having problems please email hoodwinked@nottinghamcity.gov.uk with the make and model of your phone and the email address you’re using to register and we’ll do our best to help.

How do I find the sculptures?

How do I unlock a sculpture?

How do I add a photo to the Gallery?

Incorrect codes

If you’ve already unlocked a sculpture the app will display an error message to let you know you’ve already unlocked that sculpture. Check your sculpture listing pages to see if you have already collected it. If not, it could be an error we need to fix – gulps! So please let us know the code and sculpture by emailing at hoodwinked@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.

Do I need to fill in all the sign up fields?

No just your email. But we’d love to know more about you for our event evaluation.

  1. Name – We use this to identify you.
  2. Email – Your email address allows you to login to your app account. It also enables us to identify your account and communicate with you if you require support. If you consent to email communications on the app’s Contact Preferences screen we’ll add this email address to the mailing list.
  3. Postcode – We’ll use this for our event evaluation. (Don’t worry we’ll never sell your info to third parties).
  4. Age – We’ll use this for event evaluation and to determine if we can stay in touch. If you’re under 16, we’re sorry but you’ll need to wait another year before you can join the mailing list.
  5. Group Size – We’ll use this for our event evaluation. (Don’t worry we’ll never sell your info to third parties).

At the end of the trail your sculptures, rewards and voting stats will be anonymised and used for event evaluation purposes only. If you do not wish your anonymised stats to be used in event evaluation you can opt-out in writing to marketing@wildinart.co.uk and hoodwinked@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.

How long do you keep my personal information?

App Players – We keep your personal information for 6 months following the end of the art trail/event auction. After which Wild in Art and Nottingham City Council will promptly and securely anonymise the app data.

Mailing List – Consenting app players shall be added to the respective mailing lists for Wild in Art, Nottingham City Council and/or Nottinghamshire Hospice in accordance with their respective privacy policies. You may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. Just follow the instructions in those messages. If you unsubscribe from the mailing list, we may still send you other messages, like those about your account and legal notices.
